i hungered for instruction on the theory of machine embroidery digitizing. knowing to push one button creates a fill and another a satin wasn’t enough for me. i knew which button to use to adjust my stitch length, but i didn’t know when to change it or why i would want to.in any case, the limitations of thread must be discussed over and over again and it usually is a result of lettering which is too small for quality digitizing. designers find themselves up against a wall trying to explain what can and can’t be done. sometimes we abandon our better judgement only to then develop an unsatisfied customer; complaining that the lettering isn’t clear, the open areas in lower case e’s , a’s and others are closed up and messy. “yep, that’s what i was trying to tell you.”once we have selected the program of digitization, we can start on our embroidery projects. the design and editing the design is part of the process, of course. this is why there is also an emphasis placed on how to make your own designs using the digitizing program .
